WHO I AM
I’m Pedro du Buf, a creative designer and motion artist with a passion for turning ideas into visually captivating stories. With roots in both Portugal and Switzerland, I bring a multicultural perspective and a calm, thoughtful energy to every project I take on. Creativity, kindness, and professionalism guide everything I do, whether I’m designing for broadcast, brands, or books.
WHY ME?
Because I care deeply about the impact of design. As a father and creative, I’m driven by the idea of leaving things better than I found them , through thoughtful visuals, positive teamwork, and meaningful storytelling. I bring not just technical skill, but empathy, patience, and an eye for detail that helps brands and ideas truly connect.
WHAT I DO ?
I specialize in motion graphics, 2D/3D animation, and graphic design. My work bridges storytelling and design, from creating broadcast motion templates for DPG Media, to producing full-scale explainer animations and brand visuals for diverse clients.I love combining concept development, visual clarity, and sound design to craft experiences that feel both engaging and purposeful.
WHERE ?
I’m currently based in Zaandam, The Netherlands, working with clients across Europe on animation, branding, and motion projects. Whether remote or on-site, I adapt easily to different teams and project environments, always aiming to create smooth, inspired collaborations that bring ideas to life.
HOW I DO IT?
Every project starts with listening , understanding the story, the audience, and the emotion behind the message. From there, I build structured workflows that leave room for creativity to breathe. My process combines technical precision (Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Cinema 4D) with a human touch, ensuring I remain communicative, reliable, and open to collaboration at every stage.
